Elfyn Evans expectations for Rally Italia Sardegna
04/06/2015 - The smiling and positive face of a good guy, that of the 26 years old driver of MSport from Wales, was shown by Elfyn Evans during the pre-event test of the Rally Italia Sardegna run in Gallura by the team led by Malcom Wilson. «In Portugal everything went wrong - said the driver from Dolgellau - now I am happy on running this test here in Sardinia and to get ready for the rally on the new Ford Fiesta Wrc. We are working a lot on the shock absorbers and on the setup and I am quite motivated, as this is going to be the first rally I run three times on a Wrc car».

In 2013 Nasser Al-Attiyah had to give up at the last minute and Evans made his debut in Sardinia with co-driver Giovanni Bernacchini at the wheel of the Fiesta Wrc run by Msport, ending with a great result in fifth absolute. «Last time around I ended sixth - continued the son of the famous and quick welsh driver Gwyndaf Evans -. We are aware we can easily end in the top five in this rally. It is important to clock some mileage and to get the most of the higher torque and traction provided by the new Fiesta Wrc, even if these will be more evident on tarmac. We are getting ready for the rally and we will try to finish it to get some further experience on the new Wrc. We will get off as sixth, right behind Latvala, which is quite a good position. As regarding tires, I think that we will only use hards due to the high temperatures».

Meanwhile, yesterday Ott Tanak has been busy with testing duties, as today it will be Lorenzo Bertelli's turn with Lorenzo Granai on his side. Team Fuckmatié has in fact thanked Giovanni Bernacchini for his collaboration and announced Granai's comeback at the side of Bertelli in two short communications on social networks.
