Regione Sardegna confirms the partnership for the next year edition of the rally
Prof. Francesco Morandi, Tourism Councillor of Regione Sardegna, confirmed that the partnership with the Region will be extended also to the 2016 edition of the rally at the press conference to present the Rally Italia Sardegna, held last Wednesday in Cagliari. Councillor Morandi confirmed the will of Regione Sardegna to continue the sponsorship of the event for years 2017-2019, a very important decision as the world rally championship will continue to give good visibility to the island providing an economic return during the low season of tourism, while making all rally fans very happy. During the press conference, the General Manager of Rally Italia Sardegna Antonio Turitto confirmed that the stage of Sinis Mont´E Prama has been shortened by 7,39 km due to environmental reasons. The stage will now measure 14,08 km, which is going to change the length of the stage scheduled for June 12 to 133,50 timed kms and the total rally length to 394,63 timed km.

BERTELLI READY FOR RALLY ITALIA SARDEGNA
The "pre-event" testing run by Volkswagen and Msport works team, particularly by the Italian Lorenzo Bertelli, will begin next week. The 27 years old driver from Arezzo but adopted by Milan, will regularly be at the start in Sardinia after the incident in Portugal's rally. "The guys are giving their best to fix the new Fiesta Wrc on which I had an incident in Portugal - commented the Fuckmatié Team's driver -. I will therefore have the chance to set up the car for the gravel of the island in an accurate testing session scheduled from mid next week. The target is to end the race, in Sardinia I always have done good rallies and I hope to run a trouble-free rally in this season". Bertelli then continued explaining his physical condition. "I am fine now, I resumed training and I am nearly at my 100%. Last Saturday in Portugal right after the incident I felt fine, but then 20 minutes after I started feeling headache, being sick and tingling, which I have been told later on are the signs of traumatic brain injury. We now turn the page and think only about running and preparing at best the race of Sardinia".
