The result of the three crews of Aci Team Italia present last weekend at the Rally of Portugal has been very positive. Andrea Crugnola (Renault Clio R3T) ended his effort in absolute P41, which was worth the sixth place of Wrc 3, Fabio Andolfi put in a great 30th absolute time at the wheel of a Peugeot 208 R2 in the long stage of Vieira do Minho, eventually taking the absolute 47th place and the 10th of Wrc 3. Giuseppe Testa closed in 61st position marking the 37th scratch in the power stage.

«We are really happy on the result obtained by Andolfi and Crugnola, and we are sorry for Testa who had some problems - declared Claudio Bortoletto -. Team Romeo Ferraris managed the two cars of Andolfi and Testa in a spotless way which allowed our two crews to finish one of the toughest races of the world championship without punctures». Crugnola and Andolfi were very happy too. «I am satisfied - said Crugnola at the flag - we scored 8 points in Wrc 3 and I have to say that the Clio R3T, despite being at its debut, is a robust car that did not have problems. In the end we just wanted to finish the race, we can improve and I believe that we will make further progress in Sardinia». «It has been a great experience and I am really happy for it - stated Andolfi -. I have to thank my co-driver Simone Scattolin that supported me at best. It was a pity for the problems to our rear-end on Friday that stopped us, otherwise we could have done a lot better».

Giuseppe Testa had a troubled rally instead, due to technical problems. «Despite the tough luck, this race has been useful experience - said the driver from Molise - We understood where the difficulties of a world rally championship race are and we count on counter-charging in Sardinia, hoping in some better luck. »

Andolfi and Testa's programmes on the Peugeots 208 R2 run by Romeo Ferraris will continue in Sardinia, Poland, Finland, Catalonia and Wales, while Crugnola will be on the Renault Clio R3T in Sardinia, Poland, Germany, Corsica and Catalonia.
