13/05/2015 - Italy is present in the draft world rally championship 2016 calendar unveiled today in a press release by "WRC Promoter". This is quite an important news for our country that will have the chance to house a round of the world rally championship also next year.
The draft calendar of 2016 edition of the World Rally Championship, approved yesterday by FIA's World Rally committee, comprises 9 rounds that already signed a multi-year agreement with the Promoter. The selected and included events are Montecarlo, Sweden, Argentina, Australia, Finland, Italy, Mexico, Poland and Spain. Their confirmation of each event will happen after each of them prove to meet the international federation quality standards in this year's edition of the rally. The dates of the rally of Montecarlo (21-24 January) and Sweden (12-14 Februray) have already been disclosed, as the general manager of WRC Promoter, Oliver Ciesla, declared that one or two new events might be part of the World Rally Championship calendar next year (China and Brazil are among the candidates). |
